The Prep Concept

Here at The Square White Plate we were tired of recipes claiming that 2 hours was all you needed, and when the rubber met the road it was more like 3 hours. It’s never fun when you realize that you need to measure out 17 spices, using 14 different measuring utensils while the dish is burning on the stove.



We’ve employed a prep section to most of our recipes that split most (or all) of the ingredients into groups (bowls) that are added at the same stage of the process.  This allows you to cook like a television chef, maximizing efficiency and reducing crunch-time stress without a team of prep chefs behind the scenes.  Feel free to ignore this section within each of our recipes when you get around to hiring your team of prep chefs.
